Heeeeey, look at my new baby I made!

For my headcanon, this sword is an amalgamation of a fraction of Aurene’s spirit and the commander’s spirit that was formed into a weapon. A gift from Aurene to represent the bond between an elder dragon and her champion. It serves as a promise that so long as the commander and Aurene remain in some form, they will always protect Tyria.

The colors in exordium also work well for this idea so I’m rolling with it ;D

With the recent ending to icebrood saga, the commander is once again impaled by a flaming weapon!

When Dragons Watch brings the unconcious commander back to Aurene's sanctuary, they realize something is strange about the wound the flaming arrow left. No matter what healing elementalist magic Crecia uses or the guardian magic Braham tries, the chest wound keeps reopening. The enchanted bow and arrow that peirced Jormag's tooth is now rapidly burning away at the commander's leaf-like skin. Small vines struggle to seal up the wound only to be burned away again and again. Aurene arrives with a solution to brand the injury closed but how long will this hold? Will there be lasting effects to being hit with an arrow imbued with ancient magic? For now, the members of Dragon's Watch let the commander rest in the Eye of the North while everyone else tracks down Bangar. The memories of the being burned alive in Elona by Balthazar's flaming sword begin to resurface as the commander awaits for her guild mates to return. Without work to keep her busy, Commander Latkei seeks refuge in the scrying pool to avoid slipping into panic.

On another note, Latkei is one hundo percent pissed that her new coat now has a large boob sized hole burned into it.

Dragon child 2.0! Just look at that sweet face. Raising a mount from an egg is perfect for my ranger and I'd like to think she is raising a whole fleet after the latest living world story. Meanwhile, Dragon's Watch wonders if it's really necessary to have several skyscale babies because they are constantly getting into things at Sun's Refuge. Imagine all the wee skyscale babes with their sticky feet latching onto everything and everyone who enters the hideout. The commander thinks it's hilarious to watch unsuspecting troops being ambushed by these sticky tricksters.

SHE’S HEEEEERRREE! I’m a proud dragon mom.. Again! My sweet skyscale baby was a minor pain but it was totally worth it. I imagine my commander telling her stories of Aurene when she was a wee babe and thinking “I got this. I’ve raised a dragon before. Piece of cake.” only to realize dragon child 2.0 is a bit of a trouble maker who likes to disappear from time to time.. Anyway, I needed to post pics of my new child! ENJOY.

Now I need to think of names.. I have been calling her Ghost since she was a master at vanishing during that one achievement. My little escape artist.. But I also like peaches, pumpkin, or stickers (I can’t control her. She sticks to literally everything..)

My commander isn’t doing so well with the recent living world story. While her friend is trying to comfort her, she’s reminded of Glint’s words but it doesn’t make the image of Aurene go away.

It’s been weeks and I’m still a wreck and I guess partially in denial. I want my sweet dragon child back. I’m holding onto the hope that this is apart of her ascension process but boy..
