In the rare moments when she was honest with herself, she knew why she liked him so much. It wasn't his technicolor eyes, or his mad slurry-making skills. Nah, it was like...when she tried out new tricks on her four-wheeled device, and fell and skidded on her face for ten feet, he never laughed at her. He helped her to her feet and didn't talk any shit about it until she was all cleaned up. With all the stupid shit he usually said, it should have been hard for him to be so caring during times when she needed it - but he never complained. He indulged her sometimes, but not always, and that was important. And, okay, the slurry-making was definitely a factor, too.
