I make my teenage son the same breakfast every weekday morning. A Dave's plain bagel, toasted with butter and jam, and a banana. Same old, same old, right? Except a bagel and a banana lends itself to becoming a face. Usually it's va smiley face. Yesterday, after a difficult night and morning, a sad face seemed more appropriate. Today, neither felt right and I attempted to give the banana another expression. This happened. 😂 Is it a tongue sticking out? A yum face? I'm not sure. But it make me chuckle and humor sustains me. Even in (especially in) hard times, remember who you are. Stay connected to you, your heart, your humor.
