Did you ever get your Aion to work? Make sure you have your Antivirus and Firewall turned off for it, I also deleted my $Patch file and one other one. I was getting the same error, hope you fix it, let me know~ xoxo
Nah I never did… my bf is actually mailing me a thumb drive with aion and the launcher lol ^^ (he can be so nice!). I got a response from Ncsoft and they had me run this PingPlotter test for 30 minutes while searching their IP. According to them, my issue is caused from packet loss.
"In terms of installing the game, this amount of latency and packet loss is likely corrupting the downloaded files and causing the launcher to keep retrying the download until it just gives up, failing the entire download. Because the loss of data is happening prior to it reaching our game servers, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance, use another ISP connection or copy Aion from another PC with a more stable connection. If you decide to contact your ISP, I would highly recommend sending them the results of your Ping Plotter test so they can visually see the issue you are suffering from." - Brian - NCSOFT Technical Support
But thanks for your advice ~ going to wait till tomorrow for my magical thumb drive to arrive haha.
