Yeah, I basically just threw up some fanon.
Constance Jekyll prefers to just be called Connie. She is the great-granddaughter of the original Dr. Jekyll. If you ask Connie about this, she’ll swear to you that it’s just a coincidence. She probably just has the same last name, or her great-grandpa was a different guy named Henry Jekyll, who’s completely unrelated to the famous one!
Victoria told Connie that she has the ability to transform into a much more demonic version of herself, and she inherited that ability from her great-grandfather. However, Connie just wants to be normal. She doesn’t want anything to do with monsters, and she definitely doesn’t want to be a monster. Every time something happens that would draw Connie into the world of monsters, she actively avoids it.
In a moment where Connie was angered enough and pushed to her limit, her Hyde transformation- which she didn’t believe she really possessed- was activated for the first time. Her alter ego went on to name herself Laura Hyde.
Connie just tries to be a good person and doesn’t want to get involved with monsters. Laura, on the other hand, is REALLY eager to be let loose.
