A couple of weeks ago, here in my town, there was a gathering of local folklore groups (I think there were six). It was a parade of Sardinian masks, usually done in winter, for the carnival, but in recent times has begun to replicate these events in summer, for tourists. (Men dressed in sheepskin. In July.
