The room was already spinning a bit and the music from the band in the corner warped as Laurette made his way across the bar, but that wasn’t going to stop him from having a few more drinks before he finally went home.
That was his main focus until his gaze landed on a familiar face sitting at one of the booths, the mound of bright purple completely unmistakable. Despite his better judgement, the small man swung himself into the opposite seat, a bottle of beer in his left hand.
“Hey.” He was already fairly drunk, given the tinge of red on his face and the overly happy demeanor. The man leaned forward and propped his elbows on the table, listening intently for a response. “What are you doing here?”
