what is the most over-hyped book you read this year?
to be honest, i read several books this year that could be considered very ‘popular’ and most of them lived up to the hype, i think! the secret history was one that i finished near the very start of the year and was everything i wished it to be and more; six of crows was another one that i picked up because one, i love the heist genre, and two, because it came highly recommended - and it was really THAT good; and educated by tara westover went above and beyond all the hype, blew me away, and i don’t think it could ever get enough hype. i think the only popular book i read this year and that, maybe, fell a little short of the hype was alice in wonderland.
