Heyoooo everyone! Guess who's back after wayyyyy too long!

The past year has been rather hectic for me (y'all know what I'm talking about) but I'm back home, all cozy at my desk, and ready to lurk online like never before.

I'll try to be as active as I can be <3 My inbox is open if you guys wanna talk about anything!

ACTUALLY!!!

Bouncing off of my last post, can we PLEASE TALK about the fact that one of the cemetery is A WILD ZONE, NOW?!!!!

Like, listen pspsppspspspsppss imma whisper a lil in your ear: I loooveeee that for my ghosties. Good on them, they got a place to roam in peace. Great. Fantastic!

But also this is making it near impossible for people to just... Go visit their loved ones?!!! The flowers on the graves get trampled or eaten, people including the groundskeeper get attacked by wild Pokemon who are aggressive all the time thanks to being forced to remain in one place, objects are stolen because Ghosts are mischievous little creatures... Yeah, no, worst place ever to put down a wild zone. Pokemon are naturally going to flock to a cemetery, but cutting it off and forcing them to stay within the perimeter of a cemetary is just hellish. No one wants to brave wild Pokemon, let alone some grieving person, just to see their family.

At least we still got the Lachaise cemetery... But I'm pretty sure it's not a wild zone because it's literally one of the most visited cemetery in the world by fellow hex maniacs and normie tourists—and is also far too big to be a full wild zone. (Good luck making a 4 hectar wild zone in the middle of LUMIOSE CITY)

Ok, rant over.

I noticed you have a Litwick shirt (where did you get it, by the way?), so I wanted to ask what your favourite Ghost type Pokemon are. I'll accept evolutionary lines as an answer.

Thank you for your ask! First of all, my wonderful wife @nebelino made it for me! You could totally ask her, she does commissions and is the best seamstress around (not saying that because she's my wife, even if I'm obviously biased)

Anyway! That is... such a difficult question!! I love all of them as they're all very unique in their own way, right? I get to see Trevenant on the daily as I often water them in the morning (they really love it) and their relationship with the bog near Laverre is fascinating! And of course I love all sorts of other Ghosts from the Ghastly line (shocker, I know. It's not like I brandish a Mega-Gengar any time I can), Pumpkaboo, Golurk, Spiritomb (although huhhh yeah nevermind. Got bad memories from that one...), Dusknoir, Cofagrigus... I could go on!!!

But I think the real one is the most obvious one: the entire Litwick line. They're often underestimated but they are truly some of the most insidious and dangerous Ghost type Pokémon out there by a mile.

Litwick needs energy to survive and thrive and takes it from surrounding Pokémon and people and gets it through underhanded means. The legends around it, saying it takes children to the spirit world is both terrifying and touching in a way as it can be seen as a cute spirit helping dying children go without pain or fear. It's multi-facetted depending on your interpretation of different myths.

I also love Lampent who hangs around places filled with death such as hospitals. They're like the Reaper's lantern, lighting the way to the beyond.

And how to forget Chandelure and its elegance? Its hunger for souls, trapping them forever to wander, causing countless premature deaths and creating more ghost sightings in homes who got one thinking they'd purchased some surprisingly cheap antique? (more common than you'd think!!)

All of that to say, I adore this line. They're dangerous, beautiful, ethereal, and I want to bring awareness to their true nature. Please, btw, if anyone else is reading this: do not use a Litwick as a hat. I used to do it but I am a professional, please do not imitate me.

BUT since we mentioned them, I'm going to use this post to show off my cutie, Ember! <3 (yes she evolved and now she's shiny, don't ask questions, it's a miracle of biology)

I hope you appreciated this thorough response! I am... very enthusiastic over this subject and could speak about the soul consumption process of Litwick's flame for hours, including its reaction to being near a Spiritomb but that'd be a WHOLEEEE other blog post! It's crazy how much Lumiose is changing these days... These new renovation plans make it pretty difficult to navigate the city sometimes. But then again, I'm a country girl at heart; I already got lost within Lumiose without my friends to drive around.

Good post to go ahead and SHAME Professor Sycamore for his stupid purple Jeep that matches his stupid shirt. Who DOES THAT?!

Man, that's a tough question. As I told one person, my favorite Ghost evolutionary line is definitively the Litwick line. They're so much more dangerous than one might think when first encountering them! But if we speak singular Pokémon, probably... Decidueye or Dusknoir? Gengar? Oh it's really difficult to choose just one, they're all my babies...

hot take: brycen man, the new tv show, did not age well and it would have worked out better as an animated series. it's nostalgia bait. change my mind.

and before you tell me I'm being too harsh, I just had to sit through three hours of it and the kalosian dub makes me want to glue my ears shut. I'm justified in my hatred.
