With the distraction of sex suppressed, Alistair felt he could think more clearly, and coldly. A clear negative when it came to empathizing properly with someone he’d almost bowled over as he’d walked the streets some fifteen minutes after leaving the Nightshade.
“Watch it, kid.” The most Alistair did to help was pick up the girl. Carmine eyes fixed on her as he waited for an apology, despite the fact it was his own fault and not hers.
None of them were really paying attention. Though, she couldn’t get herself to think much about if it could’ve been this could’ve been partially her doing. She was the one knocked over. A guy that tall would be way harder to move.
Audrey made her priority to dust herself off. The taller stranger glared down and apparently expected a response. Begrudgingly her right hand formed a thumbs-up to the rub in a circle over her chest to say sorry. She wasn’t exactly understanding why it was needed, it just got her out of this faster while avoiding conflict.
