Eagles land at Lawncrest Rec

December 22, 2019 was an exciting time to be an Eagles fan. That was the day the Eagles beat the Cowboys with a score of 17-9. What was even more exciting was Carson Wentz hosting an incredible event for the children of Lawncrest the very next day.
That's right, on Monday, December 23 the Carson Wentz and his AO1Foundation hosted a children's event at the Lawncrest Recreation Center to celebrate the holiday season and give back to the community. The day was filled with more than ten activities including:
running and receiving drills
making slime
enjoying a bite to eat from Carson's food truck, Thy Kingdom Crumb
Carson was joined by his fellow teammates, Boston Scott, Dallas Goedert, Nate Sudfield, and Avonte Maddox. The group ran alongside the kids, posed for photos, made slime, and ate with them too. Most importantly, they talked with the kids, laughed, and had a great time sharing their talents. Swoop and some of the Eagles cheerleaders also made an appearance.
Carson kicked off the event by speaking to the kids. At the end of the day's festivities, he concluded by again speaking to the kids and their parents. He encouraged the kids to never give and up and keep pushing through the daily grind.
Carson is very thankful to God for what he has given him and was thrilled to share the day with kids. One parent in the crowd listening to Carson Wentz, remarked, "this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to Lawncrest."
Each child was given a Nike backpack filled with many goodies including an Eagles yearbook signed by Carson, an AO1 hat, Bose speaker and a basketball, football or soccer ball. The kids were also presented with a group picture of their group with the Eagles present for the day. The day will be one that won't be forgotten by all of the participants!
