five sentence ask game!
Oscar’s waiting for the knock at the door when it comes, on his feet and across the room to open it before the knocking has even stopped. “Come in,” he says, stepping to the side right away.
Liam doesn’t say anything; that’s nothing new. It’s what Oscar has learned to expect from the other, after a bad race day. Liam’s affinity for going mute isn’t his favourite thing, but it’s something he’s grown accustomed to.
So accustomed to it that he knows what to do without asking. Wastes no time in settling back on the bed up against the headboard as Liam toes his shoes off, then stands at the side of the bed looking vaguely uncertain.
Sighing softly, Oscar opens his arms in invitation, legs spread out on the bed before him. “Come on, then.” He keeps his tone quiet, gentle; knows Liam can spook easily when he’s like this.
Not today, though. Today Liam caves immediately, crawling into the bed and into Oscar’s lap without a second thought, forehead pressed into the crook of Oscar’s neck.
