Wednesday in court. Today I'm actually wearing a blazer.. I feel okay about it.
First day back at work after 4.5 weeks off. I've forgotten all passwords and what I'm supposed to do here..

when it’s getting late and your eyes are starting to get bleary and the way the office lights glow changes because of the hour you’re in and you get up to stretch the legs that haven’t been used in hours and you push back your arms to stretch them out and the muscles in your back move with it and the yellow lights shine onto you as you roll out your aching wrist and you rub you eyes and head to to window and lay your stuffed head against the cool glass and watch the city traffic pass by for a moment and let the muffled noise of the city hit you at last after hours of tuning it out and god you are so tired but there’s nothing else you’d rather be doing
when you’re so into your work that you don’t notice the sunset until you look up from your page and see that your world has turned dim and only then do you realise you’ve been squinting to read the pages in the dark for the last hour or so. you stumble to your feet, and it feels weird to stand again and you walk to the light and switch it on and so quickly is the room flooded with light that you’re taken aback and you have to blink your weary eyes until you adjust. you go back to your work, and its blurry from a distance, but now that you’ve gotten up and you’re reading in light again it’s like you’re working with new life
when you're lucky enough to have a desk by a window and you get to watch the sun set over your papers and the colors shift and then hours later you get to watch the colors shift again as dawn begins and you take a break to stretch your legs and get another cup of coffee and enjoy it as the sun rises on your office, signaling a new day of victories
