[9:38 pm] boyfriend!yixing watches you quietly from the doorway of your living room as you space out. staring off at the flickering masses of gas in the darkened sky, his shirt that you had been folding was nearly falling away from your loose grip on it as xiao - your beloved cat - jumps onto his cat tree with a thud, startling you at of your trance-like state. yixing’s eyebrows knit together in worry as your chest rises and falls at an abnormal pace for a bit too long; he can see the fear hidden beneath the dark pools in your eyes. an every day occurance startles you and, although everybody else would think this to be a normal response, yixing can’t help but let his thoughts linger on your mysterious past. he knew it wasn’t a good one and even though you said you were over it, that it happened long ago, your boyfriend can’t help but still see its hold on you.
