Okay but can we talk about MY and KDH tell their side of the story with the flashback reel of the events that night after head nurse was all “you don’t know their story” at the beginning of the episode? Chillllls.

When are people going to understand that there is a HUGE difference between just simply sympathizing with a layered villain character because of the backstory that caused them to act like they do vs. supporting, justifying, and excusing all these terrible things and using their backstory as an excuse to act like that. I talk about this shit way too much and I’ve been posting different non fandom drama related things lately which is a good thing so I will stfu about this topic again for a while after this, but it gets so annoying how no matter how much you try to explain the difference or sympathize with a character, yet again NOT because of their actions, some people are so tone deaf and STILL find a way to make it seem like you’re “mental” and “crazy” and “justifying terrible things”. I get being genuinely confused by people actually feeling bad for an openly more hated character because of a backstory not a lot of people bother getting into and wanting a genuine explanation, but some people are just willfully ignorant on purpose at this point.
