Finally talking about my human au!!

Jonas is the only one that gets to keep his first and last name (lololol hes the only one w a first And last name) snfhdjhd + he and lobo get special treatment design wise because Billy and Layla are already human. Concept sketches⬇️

Anyway , Lobo -> Bo Loczarnio, Billy the Girl -> Brianne “Billy” Tigre, and Layla -> Layla Legen

Bo, Billy, and Jonas run an auto shop together. Bo does paint jobs and customization, Billy is the permanent mechanic, and Jonas (among other things) runs the books. I say “permanent mechanic” because I think all three of them are very competent mechanics but Billy does most of their client repairs. They mostly cater to biker groups and street racers

They operate out of an old warehouse they bought together! It has two levels: the shop on the ground floor and a converted apartment in the second floor! Jonas, Bo, and Billy live in the flat, though Billy isn’t actually there that often. She mostly just showers & stores things there. Sleeps at home maybe twice a week. #partygirl

Layla, whose family owned the warehouse before selling it, runs a bar in the same lot. Since the opening of the auto shop the bar has become primarily a biker joint—but the previous clientele, Layla’s drag racing friends, still frequent

Jonas also tends the bar when Layla is unavailable/he isn’t busy doing finances. He likes playing bartender more than anything but someone’s gotta run the numbers. He helps Layla with hers too

Jonas, also, is blind! Not completely, but legally. He sees some light and shadow (not much). the only reason he doesn’t help with the paint jobs that come through💔

Bo and Jonas are both ex-cons who met in prison. Bo got in for assault & arson & grand theft auto. All separate incidents, all have happened more than once. Jonas was tried as an adult for killing his dad when he was 17…..yea……

I haven’t decided how Billy met Jonas and Bo…..she might also be an ex-con but even if she was i think it’s unlikely she’d be in the same prison as the other two. If she Was convicted it would either be for money crimes or assault charges (someone said something they shouldn’t have any she clapped back maybe harder than was strictly necessary)

Anyway I think all three of them are long time friends that have adopted Layla somewhere in the last 6 years👍 Maybe Billy and Layla knew each other from the racing scene (image of Billy as a scantily-clad track marshal waving the flags n shit👁️👁️) and struck a deal for the warehouse that way

Darlene will also be involved with this AU but i haven’t finalized her role yet💔 open to suggestions but i don’t expect any lol

I think the shop will be called Billy and the Boys. They (Billy and Bo mostly, Jonas didn’t mind) fought over the name for a long time. Jonas suggested they have a fistfight to see who got to name the place and Billy won. Bo still hasn’t lived it down

If anyone has anything to say about their mechanic being a woman they’re getting kicked in the ass by all three of them. Bo is pulling his switchblade, Jonas is pulling his handgun, and Billy is pulling her brass nucks. Do NOT come in here with your misogyny.

Bo HAAAAATES being interrupted while he’s working. Jonas is the only one that can talk to him while he’s busy and not get something immediately thrown at his head. And even that’s only on a good day. Leave that bitch ALONE

Jonas spent over a decade in the big house. Jeremiah’s death was ruled as voluntary manslaughter, which is a sentence of 11-15 years. He probably got out a little early on good behavior but either way he’d be in there over a decade. Went in at 17 and went out almost or over 30💔

Bo, on the other hand, kept getting in and out through his teens and into his twenties. 3 years, then another 7, and another 3-4 that came back to bite him in the ass later on. Jonas may have done one long sentence but Bo has probably done more time overall. Plus he’s the most likely to get arrested again.

This post talked about mtf Billy and all three of them meeting in prison…..i like that a lot. That’s canon to this au now. They all got along like a house on fire and after a few years started talking about opening a shop once they were out. Billy, having done the least time by far, was probably the one to find and negotiate the warehouse sale. She might have even lived there alone pre-renovation, while one or both of the boys was still locked up.

Oh and Layla has definitely gotten busted for street racing but she probably just paid the fine and moved on #trustfundbaby

Bonus hc: Bo does indeed have fish at home. Probably betas because they’re aggressive and territorial like him. Also they’re pretty to look at. I don’t think they have names either. Bo is just like “the fishy” “my fishies” and everyone accepts it bc what else are you gonna do

Lobo + Co relationship hcs!!! Not explicitly nsfw but under a cut anyway. For politeness reasons :]

- Lobo/Jonas are fwbs but Jonas is in love with Lobo on the low (its not in the low its eating him alive in fact)

- Billy/Lobo are actual casual fwbs. “oh so you just want some coochie? That’s cool I just want the dick, that’s my evil twin and shit! After that we dapping up” (One Hit Wonder by Se’Kret)

- Billy/Layla are fuck buddies but Billy lowk has a crush on Layla, who’s aromantic. Its way more on the low than Jonas’s situationship but Billy is torturing herself by letting layla hit

- Jonas/Billy are casual but frequent. that bond over their forever unrequited gay pinings

- Lobo/Layla are both tops…..neither of them is ever willing to give it up for the other so it doesn’t go anywhere🤷

- Jonas/Layla are infrequent but they have fun ;)

- here’s where it gets interesting: Lobo & Darlene are in an open relationship. Darlene is asexual and Lobo has a really high drive, so she doesn’t mind him going out and finding his fun elsewhere

- That creates a weird kind of tension between Jonas and Darlene. They both want Lobo exclusively but know that that’s not how he works; they only know each other through what they can’t give to Lobo. If they ever got over that, though, I think they’d get along pretty well

- Layla/Darlene ace/aro solidarity. I don’t necessarily think they’d get along but the mutual respect is def there. I was talking to an irl about this and he said “not even in an opposites attract way?” And sadly i think no, not even. I think they’re both a little too judgy of each other’s lifestyles

- BILLY ON THE OTHER HAND…….Darlene is attracted to Billy in a way she can’t face yet (bisexuality + polyamory)

- Layla is straight chillin she’s the only one that does not gaf

Lobo + Co General headcanons! I am So Attached to the background characters in the Lobo comics ugh

Layla and Billy and Jonas are all good friends. Lobo would be their fourth but he refuses to admit he has friends. He’s kind of a friend of a friend (Jonas) to Layla but she tolerates him. Billy likes Lobo, generally, but I don’t think they’re super close.

And yes, these are the kind of friends that all sleep with each other. That’ll have it’s own post🤭

Lobo’s bike always looks different because he’s always changing out the parts. He’s his own mechanic generally and with the amount of stress he puts the Hawg in it breaks down frequently. He likes to try out experimental engines and shit so sometimes it’ll just straight up explode

Everyone hates the Hawg btw. It’s loud, stinky (runs on unleaded so it would smell like a regular motorcycle times one billion), predictably unpredictable, and, again, just blows up from time to time. Jonas is the only one to have personally witnessed this happen

Darlene’s dream is to go to culinary school. Forever the waitress never the cook💔 She’s kind of given up on it to take care of Al and the diner, since Al basically took her in as a scared freshly 18 year old after her family died (the big kitchen disaster ofc). The diner would fall apart without her and she knows it

Jonas did indeed keep Beppo the monkey. That’s his best fucking friend (besides Billy). And they basically eat the same food😭 fruit & veggies & insects. They’ll be sitting on the couch together watching (“watching”) tv & munching on an industrial size bag of crickets

Speaking of, Jonas is a sucker for trashy tv. He was ALL OVER the maim game when it was airing (and especially when Lobo was competing. He taped that one)

Billy’s knuckleshox (surgically implanted taser brass knucks) have retractable spikes. They’re kind of like needle points, so the electricity can really get to her opponent.

Layla is an independent bounty hunter. When all the Bunsen shit went down she was like “mhm thats why i hate agencies.” And whenever someone complains about Quarantino she’s like “i have a suggestion☝️”

Jonas is surprisingly good with numbers. No I don’t have a basis for this fuck you

Billy is Lobo's spa buddy. @cuddlebuggg pointed out once that Lobo is always getting himself pampered between jobs & whenever their schedules line up they go together. The gossip sesh while they get their nails done is DIABOLICAL

Xander when he goes further into the mainland for some truck maintenance and he lowkey makes direct eye contact with the two dudes he shot and maybe lowkey held hostage for a few days (because they work there) so he GENUINELY has to turn around take his business elsewhere POSTHASTE before they disassemble his entire whip like ants at a picnic and beat him unconscious but his truck authentically decides at that vital instance to run out of gas and not start again so he LOWKENUINELY has to sit there and stare in silent acceptance as biblical reckonings #1-4 begin approaching his now immobile vehicle (he did not bring a weapon)

They do fix Xander’s truck but when they give him the bill it’s a CRAZY upcharge. Xander stares at them like🫩 cause they all five know what Billy did is not worth NEARLY that much but they all stare right back at Xander like😐🤨 he pays it and they call it square for the bullet wound incident
