Ok….my historical Priscilla redesign went over alright so I thought why not take a look at everyone’s Other favorite Goth girlfriend?

Let me explain,

So I pinned down the dates for “Have you seen Claudia?” To around 1890 (someone let me know if I’m wrong) so I am going off of that.

Layla is an Irish immigrant, a woman and a horror novelist in other words, She’s BROKE.

That’s why the dress is a little plain, but if figured she could/would add her own style to a simple dress.

IGG is holding on to those ringlets Tight and totally missed out on the Iconic look of 1890 which was the Gibson Girl hair. Literally my favorite historical hairstyle. She’d want her hair up anyway. Added a hat just in case y’all were fond of it, hats were pretty ridiculous at the time so her original probably wouldn’t stick out too much.

Her original dress has so. Many. Ruffles.

Tired eyes from typing all night.

Ink stained fingertips and sleeves instead of nail polish (there was nail stain but it wasn’t black?)

I hope she didn’t come out too plain, wouldn’t it be funny if you didn’t know she was so So eccentric until she started talking though?

Additional Notes:

Forgive me if I’m wrong (its been a minute since I read this book) but she’s Irish American right? Because like 2000 extra points, mentally picturing her with a THICc accent.

I was gonna dig up the serial killer bros and Judge their outfits too but I can only find H.H Holmes on the online.

His purple suit and the fact that he looked nothing like that in reality will speak for him I guess.

Also with Joshua’s weirdly specific name I though he might also be based on a real person but nothing came up when I searched it.
