cradle song
"sing me a lullaby," yixing murmurs from luhan's shoulder, eyes shut. the sudden break of silence, despite how hardly audible it was, earns a sudden cock of the other boy's head and slightly wide eyes.
"a lullaby? but we're in the van..." he speaks quietly, a small laugh on his lips. yixing's expression doesn't change, a hand playfully tapping at luhan's knee.
"i said sing me a lullaby, not state the obvious..." he mutters, cracking one eye open lazily to glance up at the blonde before he shuts it again. luhan huffs just slightly before peering around the van. most of the others are asleep (or at least seem as such) and he really doesn't want to bother them. and maybe he wants to save his pride a little.
clearing his throat just a bit, luhan shifts his shoulders (which earns a faint noise of complaint from the boy currently pillowed against them) before taking a deep breath. his voice is slow and gentle, hardly above a whisper.
the moon is bright, the wind is quiet, the tree leaves hang over the window, my little baby, go to sleep quickly, sleep, dreaming sweet dreams. the moon is bright, the wind is quiet, the cradle moving softly, my little one, close your eyes, sleep, sleep, dreaming sweet dreams.
by the end, yixing's asleep, a soft smile on his lips. and luhan simply chuckles, tilting to lay his cheek against the dark mess of hair, content to stay in place like that for the rest of the trip.
