Fool - Fitz & The Tantrums
I have always said this is a very Lázaro sort of song, not entirely due to the lyrics or video but just the sort of hyper fun vibe and silliness the whole song brings. And granted, I do choose songs for my muses based on lyrics but a lot of it is based on how songs make me feel as well as things that I think the muse would like too. Like, this is definitely a song he plays in the car, blasting, singing along, dancing behind the wheel, the boys giggling in the back because he’s making funny faces as he sings off key...it’s so good...
Checklist - MAX Feat. Chromeo
Real talk, this one is more about how Lázaro is with Didi. Or really, how he is general towards those he loves. Lázaro is big on making his wife as well as his friends feel super special and appreciated. He puts in the work! His love language is telling his friends dead in the eyes that he loves and appreciates them! Plus this song is so much fun and is 100% something he’d groove to!
This is some great ambiance music I put on sometimes and even though the name makes it an obvious fit, it actually fits really well. Like how this song sounds is how walking into his flowershop is. Chill but groovy? It makes your hips sway a little but it’s not too overpowering? Like I imagine this is just what is playing in Lázaro’s brain. No thoughts...just Flowershop.
Matthew McConaughey - Todd Carey & Shwayze
This is partly here because, real talk, Lázaro just thinks Matthew McConaughey is cool and the only man alive who is allowed to not own shirts, but also because it’s a great summer vibe which is Lázaro all the way! Anything that you would play while riding a vintage convertible real slow on a street filled with palm trees is an immediate song for Lázaro. Also, it should be noted that he can do the alright, alright, alright very much like Mr. McConaughey himself.
