She's trying but { f a i l i n g } miserably at keeping the smile from pulling at the corner of her lips as she watches the bride and groom make loving goggily eyes at one another from each other's sides. It was a rarity in the two hundred and twenty-two years they'd been together to be invited to a wedding and Carmen opened the offer with open arms. Each time simply a blast from the past that she wanted to keep on r e m e m b e r i n g.
"Do you remember when it was us, mi amor?"
"Snow. It feels rather nice against my feet."
Egypt is somewhat barren compared to the snow that has fallen in Forks. Benjamin isn't all that sure on what to think about it. It's nice, somewhat refreshing compared to the heat the burning sensation that hits his feet everytime he walks.

C a s a b l a n c a. Easily one of her favorite black and white film's to date. It'd continue to be too, seeing as they didn't make them anymore. Much to her dismay. They truly were some of the most fascinating movies ever made. So timeless, ageless in it's salt and pepper manner. "The day you left Paris... If you knew what I went through, if you knew how much I loved you... How much I still love you." Fingers curled subconsciously around Eleazar's, the place where her heart was supposed to beat in it's captivity metaphorically melting in absolute awe as the couple on the screen's lips locked intently. Love made one capable of crazy things; things they couldn't d r e a m of in their wildest dreams. It engulfed the soul in not a silence, but a s c r e a m. Loud enough to shatter glass, to be heard across the world, and it was b e a u t i f u l. Carmen shifted in his arms, turning so that she was facing him, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "The day we left Volterra," She started, Spanish accent heavy as she spoke. "If you knew what I went through..." Inching closer to him, golden colored orbes touched on his. "If you know how much I loved you." The situation's were much different - so different it was uncanny, but the words meant all the same. "How much I still love you." Carmen said breathlessly, eyes closing as she pressed a gentle, though intensely intimate kiss to Eleazar's lips. " -- It's... Surreal, mi amor." Like they're entire existences had been; literally and metaphorically.

Had she known her future would change fro the better that day, she probably would have chosen better clothing to hunt in. Or at least, more flattering clothing. It did not quite matter now, of course; the male had a mate. She and her sisters had stumbled upon them while hunting, and after quite a bit of gently badgering had convinced them to come and visit their home. There were two, a male and female, both well weathered and more than a little weary of the three sisters. He was gangly, with a strong jaw and unruly ebony hair, while she was slender but angular, with wild brown curls and large, fiery eyes.
Eleazar and Carmen. Names more ancient than she and of Hebrew origin, yet their physical aspects, especially their eyes, had struck her more as Italian or Spanish. They led the two to their home, keeping a nose up for a human who ventured too close to them. As soon as she let them in, Kate and Irina excused themselves to clean up. Tanya smiled graciously, holding out her hands. "What is ours is yours. We outfitted the small room on your left as washroom. Just let me know if you need water," she said, slipping off her boots and scrunching her nose slightly at the mud she had tracked in. "Over nine hundred years and you would think I would learn to be neater... Come in, my friend," she smiled softly, here eyes resting on the slightly hunched form of Eleazar who was still standing in the doorway.
Christmas Time Is Here (AU)
Carmen was making dinner for her family. Eleazar and the children had been playing outside for most of the day. Carmen had been outside playing with them as well, but things needed to get done. It was a busy time of year for her. Christmas was tomorrow and all of the children were excited. Carmen knew that her and her mother would be in the kitchen most if the day tomorrow for preparing the dinner, but at least she wouldn’t be alone in making it. And her father would be another eye of watching the kids with Eleazar. But having her parents over always made things easier around the house.
Everyone was outside playing as Carmen was making dinner. Tired, she sweat a little at her brow. She sat down for a minute to calm herself. She loved Christmas, but at the same time she hated it because she was always so busy. She had to clean the house to get it ready for her parents and she had to buy the presents for the kids and she had to get things ready for Christmas dinner as well as making the breakfast. It was tiring. It was easier when it was just Cecilia and Antonio but now there were lot more mouths to feed. Carmen looked up as the kids came into the house.
