time to redo my theme. again. -.- i truly can just never satisfy myself. with that being said, if you want a short starter, like this and i'll get to them shortly. :3
Twilight Meme ♕ 4 Relationships ↳ Eleazar & Carmen [1/4] ”But when Eleazar found Carmen, he found his place in this world. They are very similar people, both very compassionate for vampires.”
Golden orbs nearly melt with c o m p a s s i o n as he smiles, looking up at the familiar strains that float through the air between them. As friends, she doesn’t need to knock. He was simply startled by the —————————i n t r u s i o n .
" Do not apologize, Carmen. —— You are always welcome in our home.”
She takes the few steps across the room to like a feather across a cloud: gracefully and and without a -------- s o u n d . Then, extending her arms, Carmen allows a gracious smile to bear her lips, thankful that he had not been angry with her for inviting herself inside of his home. "Gracias, Carlisle. You're too kind. -- How have you been? Keeping well, I truly hope."
Synthesis
The sudden shift of her path away from the few humans inhabiting the cobblestone streets was intimation enough; she was aware that he had been trained to her trail for some time. He had been fettered, but concurrently, he was freed of his unusual desire for secrecy in a single moment, yet he continued to follow her. All he awaited was for the sound of her undoubtedly harmonious trill to pierce the air in inquisition—he lay in wait with an air of exuberance about him as opposed to dread or anticipation. He was far more relieved that she was not oblivious; perhaps this even delighted him.
Fortunately, he did not wait long. His pursuit had grown limited, and he dogged her footfalls from merely two yards away as curls of chestnut brown suspended in the air with a lithe swivel of her body and burgundy oculi—mirroring his own nigh exactly—peered warily toward him. Eleazar kept his wits about him without fail as he emitted a gentle note of a laugh in response to her curt query (he did not declare her actions unwarranted; he had been shadowing her very meticulously) in spite of the truth that she must be one of the most comely creatures upon which he had ever laid eyes. Her alluringly soothing fragrance had not been misleading.
“I have,” lilted baritone responded, its native tongue forming its words with a certain cadence that which did not accompany its formulation of any other language. “I apologize if I have frightened you.” Eleazar dipped his head reverently; he would bow the moment she granted him forgiveness. Veritably, all of his maneuvers had been strategized in his mind the instant she acknowledged his presence. “I smelled you from afar and I knew not how to approach you. I suppose my actions were somewhat inappropriate.” Somewhat? Yes, he knew for a fact that his actions had been wildly inappropriate, and he had begun to regret his conduct as the words shaped his pallid lips.
Crimson colored eyes softened as they took in the mysterious man before her. Truth be told, he was not exactly what she was expecting. Not that the thought had been long dotted upon, though, who's face she was to meet had flitted through the Spanish woman's mind. He looked kinder, probably was, and his eyes bred years of intelligence. If they had met under better circumstances, she was almost certain that she wouldn't be able to stop herself from quoting a Shakespeare play with the hopes -- knowing he'd have some insight on the poet. However, that was not the reality of the situation. He was merely a stranger: another immortal who had the potential to decapitate her head from her body in the very spot she stood in. Just as Carmen had not been expecting to turn and see such an exceptional, yet humble looking creature, she had not expected him to utter those words. "You knew not how to approach I?" Brows furrowed inquisitively, a small shake of her head following. Had she of been rude, she would have let the laugh flow from her lips, but regardless of the nature it'd of been in, she did not want the intention to come across wrong, therefore subdued it inside. "Please, do excuse me," her eyes hadn't left his, both out of almost awe and because he was still in fact somebody who had been following her. "I just don't believe I understand." He was a man, he could do as he wished regardless of what one thought, especially a woman. Yet, he hadn't been able to approach her. Of course, there was also the confusion with why her scent had drawn him. What did he want? Did he even want anything? Surely if he'd followed her all this time he'd had to have some motivation. One did not just set upon a journey for nothing. "I do suppose you're right," she nodded softly. His actions had been err, somewhat inappropriate, but he seemed to be harmless enough. Though she was cautious at best most times. "Do you have a name?"
Synthesis
In all his centuries of service to Aro and his virtuous guard, Eleazar had never been so fascinated. Astoundingly, however, he was not fascinated with that which he had set out to be fascinated with; rather, he was enthralled by a vampire who lacked any psychic talent. It was not a gift that strung him along and compelled him to analyze her—it was, instead, her fragrance, which reminded him so distinctly of something he had smelled before, but he couldn’t decipher what for the life of him.
The aroma was soft and gentle, floral and sweet, and it beckoned him like a siren song, or even like a love potion of mystical lore. It was reminiscent of home, which was suiting, given the fact that he was home for the first time in decades. Italy could never be his home. It was where he resided, where his supposed passion was carried out, but it could never be home the way Spain was home. And, evidently, it could never be home the way this ethereal creature was home; a creature whom he hadn’t the confidence to approach yet.
Which was why he inevitably settled for watching her from afar, tracking her path through the cobblestone paths of Madrid whenever she drifted from him. She appeared to be unaware of his current preoccupation, but she was a vampire as he was, and she ought to take note eventually. If she had not already, of course, which Eleazar was vying for. Such a fool he was, and he was entirely aware of it, but he could hardly find the courage. He had not been truly courageous in a humiliatingly long time.
His presence was known not long after he'd started following. At least, she'd hoped. However, letting him know that was the last thing Carmen wanted to do. She was hardly one who played dumb, more so people mistook her for being that way, but she also knew that boundaries existed for reasons. There was a time and place for everything and confronting another immortal in the middle of an area plagued of humans was not either of those things. That and part of her was praying to whatever God should exist for him to give up on his path. Whatever his path was. After carrying on for some time it was apparent that he would not be straying far. Her strides were longer, subconsciously; she hadn't realized her pace had picked up, even if it was in the slightest. Just like there was a time to play dumb, there was a time to not and Carmen found it nearing. Letting him continue to follow her was just not suitable. Besides, it was much rude to stalk - for lack of better words. It was then that she changed her direction. Turning from the streets into a pathway, she flitted deep into it's darkness, keeping them from unwanted eyes. Maybe not the smartest idea, the humans could be leverage, but she was almost positive that wouldn't stop him should his intentions be anything her mind was inevitably learning towards. Chocolate brown curls meshed around her shoulders as she twisted to face him, knowing he'd be standing there. "I believe you've been following me. Can I help you?"
…if Carmen and Eleazar had not found Tanya’s family they would have eventually found some other way to forgo human blood. In this respect, Carmen’s and Eleazar’s canon greatly resemble Alice's and Jasper's, since both couples had a sense of morality before they joined their respective families.
hello loves!
i'm backkkk. i'm really sorry about the random hiatus there but things got super busy for me and i do not handle stress so well. if you'd like to plot or something - like this and i'll hop into your ask box. :3
❝A necessity? Well, I’m not certain about that. Marriage has not altered us; not in the slightest. But even so, it was a milestone I was elated to share with our sisters.❞
The two finally arrived under the pavilion constructed primarily for the reception, and his firm yet comforting clasp around her hand brought her to a halt beside him.
Eleazar’s arm slunk around her slim waist, and his head turned somewhat to ascertain Tanya, Kate, and Irina’s close proximity; though his gaze swiftly fell back to Carmen, soft smile teasing his lips relentlessly.
He, too, could never be dismayed with his wife by his side.
❝ To me, it was a necessity. Not for altering purposes, to be able to call you my marido and for me to be your esposa. Coming together in marriage is a beautiful thing that nobody should miss out on, amor.❞ Carmen fell to a stop when Eleazar did, gaze touching upon the crowd that had already made their way into the reception hall. Then, she took a moment to notice the beautiful decor. Such lovely taste the Cullen's had.
The only thing she could think of that was wrong - more so unsettling was the large group of h u m a n s. While they weren't meals anymore, the coven also didn't bask in their presences like their cousins did. And certainly not in big heaps like this. Luckily a wedding was a perfect distraction. And the means to not ruin such a thing. Switching her focus back to Eleazar, Carmen met his matching golden orbs. ❝Have I told you that you look rather hermoso tonight? If I have not, please forgive me. I've been meaning to.❞ And with that, Carmen turns into him, leaning up in her heels to press a soft, blink of an eye kiss to his lips. PDA is hardly their style but the atmosphere has taken control. The quick nature of it is rather apparent and she's back in her spot at his side within a second.
❝Por favor? Por favor, what, Carmen?❞
Truthfully, he hasn’t an inkling what she is moaning about, but he finds it amusing nonetheless. She was prone to histrionics.
❝Ah—you mean a vow renewal? Mm. I suppose I will mull over the idea. I don’t think it is necessary, but I didn’t think that our initial wedding was necessary, either.
— You have always been such an unbridled romantic, amor.❞
They continue to ghost through the horde of mortals, their tones too low for a single creature in the crowd—vampire aside—to detect.
"Of course it was a necessity." Carmen craned her head up to meet Eleazar's eyes, her own widening slightly at his words. It wasn't that they were a surprise rather they were just not something she relatively enjoyed to hear. However, the Spanish pet name brought the familiar smile back to her lips. "Please do, querido. Mull long and carefully. I think it would be ravishing to experience again. -- Es muy fácil con ustedes a mi lado." She can hardly stop the words from being spoken. It's always a task to keep herself away from the unbridled romantic Eleazar claimed her to be.
❝Cuidado. You might lose yourself in your fantasies again, mi amor.❞
A harmonious chuckle resounds in his throat, and his hold around Carmen’s hand tightens. He tows her through the aisle, their sisters following suit.
❝I agree that it was unforgettable. Do not misunderstand me, Carmen. You were a vision. As you always are, of course.❞
He glances over his shoulder every so often to gaze upon her face, a smile returning to his features.
A soft gasp leaves her lips, golden hues widening slightly as her mouth hangs agape momentarily. "Eleazar, por favor." It comes out in a whisper but also half a whine, her body nearing his as they move through the people.
"It would be nice to do hacerlo de nuevo, do you agree with that, cariño?"
like this for a short starter while i'm working on my drafts.
"Was that supposed to be a threat?" Alec asked darkly. "Did you just try to threaten me?" He moves to pace closer, crunching footsteps on the forest floor, marking himself as a imminent danger to her in the way he moves, holding her gaze. "You forget what I’m capable of." He lifts a hand, forming a plume of mist that rises and disappears – a warning sign. He can take down whole armies. Carmen’s coven is no threat. "So I’ll say it again: Get me my meal back."
It'd been an empty threat, that she knew. Not that it wasn't true - her family was indeed close, but they could merely do nothing but argue with him. In the end, it'd be Alec getting what he wanted or their death. She didn't want neither. They didn't hunt people in the area of the home. It was secluded, barely any soul's were to be hunted and if they were, it would not go unnoticed. Not to mention the idea of simply doing such a thing is not settling. Slip up's happen but that would not be one - she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for it. With a shaky tone, accent heavy as she continues to try and hold herself: show him no fear, she finally speaks again. "I can't do that."
"Idiota," Alec scoffs. He never liked Carmen much. Not since she stole Eleazar away. Her whispered terror is only too much fun. "Must I spell it out for you? Get me my meal back." His gaze is harsh and black, pinning her and daring her to say no. She’s one of those ‘vegetarians’, he knows this, which makes it delightfully torturous to see her squirm at the prospect of hunting the human who escaped the campsite.
Golden orbs widen. She almost immediately shakes her head, though the action would have went unnoticed to a human, it was quick. There's no way she can do that, no way he can ask her to. "I'm sure you'd do a much better job at that. It is your meal." Her shoulders square defiantly. "Eleazar is close. As is Tanya and Kate. Think about what you plan do here."
There is a menacingly gleeful glint in his eyes as he sees her step back in fear of him, though the rest of his expression remains neutral. Oh does he love being feared. “So what are you going to do to fix it?”
His question is unnerving. Carmen's eyes peel open a little more, her stance turning rigid. What was she supposed to do? The ideas that wrack her mind are sorely unwanted. "I don't know." Her response is hardly above a whisper, but she doesn't waver. It would be stupid of her to.
"Does it look like I care what your intentions were?" He sneers off in the direction the camper went, thinking him a mere human predator. "Haven’t you learned it’s not wise to anger the Volturi?"
"No, it does not." She takes a subconscious step back. The Volturi has never been on her favorites list and she knows she hasn't made theirs. "Sí." Was the only response she could muster as she stares down the smaller, though much stronger vampire before her.
’ the very same, i can assure you. ‘
they were something more than just crimson, those oculus that bore a pigment created from drinking not just human blood —— but others of his own kind, those he deemed unworthy of their unlife, the wretched and the damned out of all of them who utilized their prowess not for noble deeds, but the opposite. but he was merciful as he recognized her countenance belonging more to light than the other side, and her effort to retain some form of humanity was acknowledged.
as it was, a thin tendril of shadow uplifted from the ground, as if from thin air —— a proof that he was whose name he had stated but a few moments prior.
"please do."
though she hardly understands what she's asking of him. it's only right for somebody who crosses into her land to make themselves known - prove, should they need to, who they were to her. she has a right to feel safe and secure on her own premises. and she will. nobody has taken that from her in the y e a r s that she's lived here, she doesn't plan to let anyone now. no sooner did the thought come to her mind did a shadow begin to appear from the ground. carmen flit backwards in what would seem an attempt to flee. it wasn't. scared, yes, but she'd hardly leave him on her land unaccompanied. rumors about him, namely his infamous ability were widely known. besides, was this not what she'd asked of him? "it appears your point has been made crystal clear." she's still trying her hardest to be hospitable, but the fear is dominant. "why have you come? surely you know where carlisle is staying."
