Helped put out a geolocator on this lovely dude this morning! Hopefully he’ll return to the same site next year so we can recapture him and recover all of the data his little backpack has collected.

Extracted my 100th bird from a mist net (a little second-year Lazuli bunting)! Not a skill I thought I'd pick up studying pelicans...

Banded our first lazuli bunting nestling! Less gummy and almost kind of cute compared to when we found them yesterday.
