“no.” it’s a simple, quick answer. “i mean, you’re half right, don’t get me wrong. my life would be much, much easier and stress-free without them. god, they’re a difficult bunch.” nothing she isn’t necessarily afraid to admit to anyone but them ( they’re... a bit easily put off. there’s no need to make any of them feel bad ). her life was far easier without them included; she had no one to worry about, she had nothing to stress over, there’s no denying it.
“but, before them i had... nothing. my dogs, but no matter how much i love them, it isn’t the same. i’m not lonely anymore. i got people to care for, and people that care about me. they don’t bring just stressful things, there’s more to them than that. sometimes you have to squint a little to see it, especially if you don’t know them, but i see it all the time. it makes the stressful things easier to manage. and--- i know that if i’m in any kind of trouble, they’ll have my back. this isn’t a one sided thing, for the most part. i know they love me, same way i love ‘em.”
