#lazy workers

i don’t believe in the concept of lazy workers- just workers who aren’t with the shits when it comes to having their labor exploited or their needs ignored

I got so incredibly pissed today.

My coworkers did absolutely NO prep! I had to do it all!

Instead all 3 of them messed around on their phones & went out for a communal smoke break! TWICE!

Even the manager, the woman who just put up a new sign addressed to evening shift (which I'm usually a part of, but now I'm day crew because of school hours) telling us that if she sees any of us on our phones or if we don't make sure the morning crew has enough prep for the next day then it's an automatic write-up!

She's fine not leaving any prep for the night crew cuz she's busy on pinterest on her phone, but if the other shifts do it then we get in trouble!

& she told me she's had our paychecks since MONDAY but she made us wait 2 extra days for them because she's mad we haven't been taking the "initiative" to do extra cleaning when it's not specifically assigned on a cleaning list.

I didn't say a word to my coworkers about how unfair they were treating me. Instead I did (almost) ALL the prep, & I banged around as much & as loudly as I could while doing it, too.

Neither or them offered to help. finally I snapped, because they stopped serving customers as well! I was the only one doing prep or making subs! So as I walked by the manager (still on her phone) to go serve a new customer I put on my creepy, sickly sweet voice & said "I'm the only one making prep today! hahaha" then glided past.

When I came back to the kitchen my 2 coworkers were weighing up chicken.

Would you just re-pave the damn road already?

Dear Local Council,

Please stop wasting my hard earned tax dollars creating a patchwork road along my street. I would be willing to bet you have spent more money on wages for the workers standing around ‘fixing’ our road than it would cost to replace the bloody thing.  Please just give up and admit it needs to be replaced instead of sending out these idiots to patch it up every day.

Being scolded by the supervisor (that I don't like) because I didn't finish the case work last night, but I reminded him that I finish all my case work that was under my name, while the rest were from all the other lazy co-workers who chose not to do it...

see people aren't lazy. they want higher wages because they ARE doing the work! Raise Minimum Wage to a living wage!

last week I was filling sauce bottles after close & I ran out of mayo. instead of hunting through the stock room for more, I just finished the bottles off with an already opened bag of lite mayo!

It was late, I was tired, no one knows the difference.
