I forgot to post this weekend’s scenes from the farm! First, popcorn! Sometimes I just grow things for the fun of it. Next, the 3rd cutting of basil was set out to dry. My husband has a new hobby: coffee roasting. It turns out that there is at least as much science and note taking in the roasting of coffee as there is in the making of whiskey. Who knew? Also, the last batch of this winter’s tomato soup was put up. We still have tomatoes galore, but those will likely be used to make tomato paste. Had to stick in a picture of Elvis—he and Bella are fully recovered from the snake incident, but Elvis has a nice street cred scar on his face to show off. And, lastly, it’s hot pepper season so this bucket of cayenne will be dried and ground in the coming weeks.
