To get lost in the sea of the words or, to
drown in it?
ARTEMISIA VULGARIS
Featuring my mugwort plant at home
Mugwort is a very ancient herb for healing magic and divination, known to be protective to women and travellers.
The Latin name Artemisia comes from Artemis, the Greek moon Goddess and patron of women, so it is an excellent herb to use for feminine energy and issues.
Gender: Feminine
Planet: Venus and Moon
Deities: Artemis and Diana
🌱A pillow stuffed with mugwort and slept upon will bring peaceful sleep, produces prophetic dreams and aids astral travel. It could prevent astral attacks and ward of psychic attacks from those who would do you harm.
🌱It is a good alternative to sage in smudge sticks for cleansing and clearing. Make a set of smudge sticks using dried mugwort, to use in ritual settings bringing about prophecy or divination needs.
🌱Make an infusion (dried mugwort steeped in boiled water) to wash crystal balls and magic mirrors with to aid psychic workings.
🌱Throw Mugwort onto the fire at midsummer to ensure protection for the following year.
🌱Carry it with you for psychic protection.
🌱Mugwort is also carried to increase lust and fertility and prevent backache.
🌱Use mugwort baths or incense in rituals focusing on treating depression.
🌱Plant mugwort in your garden to attract the Fae.
🌱Burn mugwort as part of an incense blend celebrating Litha.
🌱Mugwort can also be burned with sandalwood or wormwood during scrying rituals.
🌱Make a wash by steeping fresh mugwort in hot water, and then use it to clean your magical space or your ritual tools.
🌱Make protection oil for your home and property with mugwort.
🌱Create a magic broom or besom with mugwort woven into it, and use it to sweep negative energies from your home.
