Medthanan Brothers; Different
The duality of man
Me: Nah Tin. I don't care what their intentions were and how they helped you. Like they're not wrong and it is good you get that chance, but that whole thing also f#cked you up and you do not need to accept apologies from your dad or brother
Also me: TulHin🥺💖
Okay but in all seriousness, while I didn't like the "Tin. Forgive your brother if not me" thing, I like the complexity of the Medthanan situation in LBC
We have Tin's dad, who felt like he was doing a good thing for Tin by letting Tul and his wife do what they were doing. He didn't exactly get the "married for love" life himself, and not for long, so he saw it through the lens of "Even if Tin hates me for this, at least he'll have more freedom, the type Tul and I can't have". However, that stuff that happened to Tin really messed him up. He really wouldn't take friends (other than Pete, but Pete is Pete, and he's of the same status) or get close to people because he was afraid people would use him for his money or get close to him only to hurt him. The whole situation gave Tin a lot of issues. So while we're allowed to sympathize with Tin's father, and we and Tin are allowed to be glad Tin can date Can, we're also allowed to be angry and not forgive Tin's dad for what he did. Tin's dad's good intentions (as Can calls out in LBC2) don't excuse how his decision really hurt and affected Tin
[There was a long thing about Tul and his character arc and what I enjoy and all that but I am not rewriting that right now. So maybe I'll edit this later when I feel into the mood again]
