It's finally done! A retrospective on The LBD Journey. Which IMO includes the show itself, the transmedia, the fandom and the LBD team. I tried to reflect that in the video. It may be leaning on the sappy side, but I hope you enjoy it. :)
In true LBDEDA fashion, this uploaded two days after April ended…but I started working on it last month so I'm counting it! And I was mostly set back by rendering…and it crashed a couple times v.v At one point there are 50 video files in one frame! I'm pretty sure my computer fan is going to sue me for violating labour laws. :/
Check the Youtube video description for credits to where all the video and pictures came from. (And thank you for those of you who sent in your stuff!)
We love the LBD because it created the fandom and friendships that resulted in things like #KaKel and #AmeGi, llama!DVG, and so much more...
And while I don't truly understand all of the things that the fandom has generated, I do know that fandom in-jokes, obsessive shipping (of characters, fans, or combinations of the two), and forming close and lasting friendships with other fans (often when you've never met IRL) are things that happen when you've got a very enthusiastic, dedicated fandom. And something superawesomefantastic like the Lizzie Bennet Diaries definitely generates enthusiastic & dedicated fans.
