Little healer also did it for me!!! Oh any time a Nightmare (or really any dark powerful character) has a name like that? 'little healer, little bird' where it's sort of dismissive but also in some ways not? They get me good. Also yes he better be up so late at night thinking about what we did and what we mean (and stars I don't even know what he'd think if we'd told him out thought about the difference between him & Dream. The one that ached so very like a knife. I want to know though. Because I want to know what he'd think or feel about that sentiment.) - 💜🦴

Nightmare very much believes Dream is as beloved in the multiverse as he was in their village at children. But Dream is the only one between them that lacks anything similar to a family…..

I'm so curious abt what Horror and Cross think of the reader at the moment... bc like they both seem sort of friendly but there's no way they're that endeared this fast right???

Also does this meeting with Nightmare mean Reader is out of the dungeon or is he like. About to kill them lmao.

Cross has a small crush on reader on account of a) pretty woman and b) saved his life with love magic, but he also knows she's their enemy and has no plans to actually take it anywhere. It's the sort of crush you might have on a classmate or colleage where you enjoy seeing them and get a bit flustered but don't actually plan any sort of relationship (...yet).

He would be almost as friendly towards reader even if he didn't, on account of his own personal sense of honour and morality—he very much believes there are proper ways to treat prisoners/hostages, and that doesn't involve denying them personal hygeine, harrassing them, or attempting to murder them in broad daylight. There's definitely an element of guilt that she had to endure that while he was injured.

Horror was endeared to her when he realized she actually had to hurt herself to fix Cross. He's VERY attached to the rest of the family, and was terrified Cross would die.

He started feeling friendly towards Reader once he picked up on the fact that the stars have hidden a lot from her and had plans to trap her in some way. That just isn't how you're supposed to treat your teammates... and the way Reader talked about it so casually unnerved him. Knowing she's Killer's datemate also helps—he loves Killer, and he's not about to do anything to hurt his datemate.

Horror also just thinks she's funny for repeatedly trying to break out or attack them. They could kill her instantly but she still has the guts to try...

(Yeah... she's definitely Dream's healer).

I can't stop thinking about them learning how to care for a human though (I know they already know a BIT, BUT STILLLL)-

Human traditions, needs, how the hell do you braid hair..? What do you MEAN I can't just yank a knot?? And ofc all the fleshy squishy-ness. Injuries, weird niche conditions they've never heard of... Also also- Different types of humans? Like- Some like idk.... spicy foods? Meanwhile others can't even stomach spiciness. I know the boys are properly smarter than that, but like still-

I LIVE for when monsters just kind of curiously poke humans going "What's this?" "What's that?" It's SOOO cute! And funny! >3<

Ahh,,, just, monsters and humans learning about eachothers differences makes my heart squeeze <333 Bonus points if they actually end up acquiring habits from the different species AHHH <3

Hehe, I think this is why I like the monster x human dynamic too. There are lots of things about humans the boys would find confusing and concerning. Simple phrases like "I've got brain fog" would send Nightmare into a spiral.

They are also very found of hair, especially Horror and Cross. Petting it, brushing it, styling it... It's soft and cute.
