So recently my tech school had taken the Advertising/Design and Photography labs to Philly zoo for a project where we can study real life animals for an awareness poster we had to make as a final project. So I was on the trip and I was with one of my bestfriends ( We’ll call her Jade) Jade and I walked around the Zoo, having a great time, taking pictures and doing our own thing. Now Jade and I are both the same age and we looked nothing alike ( I’m white as hell and Jade is Ecuadorian)I get asked if I’m Jade’s mom. That was funny to me. Maybe it was because my bog that I carried was a diaper bag, but still. No but what I wanted to say that the works who have to deal with screaming kids and all other sorts of nasty things and that were still happy to teach me and my friend things about birds and all sorts of things. Even when we had circled around a certain part, the nicest guy in the world came up to us, asking if we were lost. Since I was taking the lead most of the trip, I meekly admitted that yes we were lost and we were looking for the red pandas, he was nice and he pointed us in the right direction and he didn’t act like oh god, I can’t believe they’re lost when there’s signs everywhere, He just pointed us in the right direction and told us to have a nice day. The best part was when we went to the gorillas, and we stood by the window looking in at them, one started coming towards us and picked up it’s carrot. He looked at us and then leaned against the wall to start eating.
