This was such a stupid idea- what made her think she could escape? She’d never learned how to live on her own before, never taken to the streets no matter how badly she was beaten.
She wouldn’t drink it. He couldn’t make her-
But as she had her back against the wall of the alley, she felt more and more uncertain about her ability to keep up her strength in this escape. There’s someone else watching her, another boy next to her, she could hear her father’s footsteps not too far away-
“D..don’t tell him I’m here...please...” she whispered, the filthy child trembling as she covered her face with her hands; wrists bruised.
