Sometimes it’s cruel to be a girl in love. To see the heart shaped leaves laying across the bridge, knowing there’s so much more to life than the walk I’m taking. Knowing that where my feet are isn’t the end, but rather just a checkpoint that leads me to you. At the end of the day, small things like the leaves will continue to stop me in my tracks - and everytime I will take a deep breath, and wipe the tears from my eyes, knowing I’m one day closer to taking my walks with you.

Polyamory makes breakups interesting. I just "broke up" with my long distance partner. It wasn't dramatic, it wasn't hostile, and it doesn't even mean anything is really going to change about the ways we're interacting with each other. It was just a conversation, laying out needs that haven't been being met and coming to the conclusion that with the space both or our lives are at right now those needs are not going to be able to be fulfilled by him.

We're still friends, he's still someone who will always be there for me, we're just no longer partners.
