In the time that I’ve been a pharmacy tech ( 2 years and some months) I’ve realized that I’m very protective of my techs especially the new ones. Like we get rude customers who think “Oh look a new face maybe we can ask them to lower my copayment”. Like no. I will step in with a straight face and be like no. One my new techs I call her “little one” cause she’s small and cute. She’s fake af and I love her for it. Like she knows how to fake a smile and seem considerate. But she’s still new and doesn’t know the gist of insurance and especially dealing with medicaid/medicare. So of course she’ll get those problem patients and she’ll try to figure it out by herself. But once I see that the customer is getting upset I’ll step in. I’ll takeover. I’m not sure if that’s good or not but i’ll find out in the future.
