So last week I...speed-built three bat masks for me and friends to have for halloween festivities (which worked out great because we won a tiki bar costume contest ayyy)

Haven't had much in the way of art to share recently so here's these as penance. Cereal boxes, hot glue, and brown grocery bags will get you a long way!

Tried to make three very differently shaped bats and lol the flying fox has been identified also as a 1) horse 2) llama 3) alpaca and, impressively, 4) an aardvark.

Shoutout to friends helping a ton to wrap these up, especially the wings and fur cowls which I had no part in making!!

Leaf-nosed Bat ⋆ 𖥔 ݁ ˖

California Leaf-nose Bat Macrotus californicus

They can be found in Sonoran and Mojave Desert scrub habitats in the Colorado River valley in southern California, Nevada and Arizona, and throughout western Mexico. It is non-migratory and does not hibernate.

Meet a few Halloween-ready bats!

been making lots of little ceramic batties lately! here's a bunch of them from kiln day last week! they are porcelain and entirely hand made/formed

there were actually two more in this set, but they sold basically right out of the kiln (and the big brown/white oxide bat at the back has already been claimed). these are the two that already sold:
