been making lots of little ceramic batties lately! here's a bunch of them from kiln day last week! they are porcelain and entirely hand made/formed

there were actually two more in this set, but they sold basically right out of the kiln (and the big brown/white oxide bat at the back has already been claimed). these are the two that already sold:

So the other day, I made a throwaway shitpost implying that maybe Hannibal Lecter was actually old enough to have been a Count in Lithuania (a country that last had a monarchy in 1795) because at some point, he accidentally ate Akasha (the mother of all vampires from the Anne Riceverse) and became a super-powerful sunshine-immune vampire.

…and now I’m kind of obsessed with the comedic possibilities implicit in this premise.

Like, what if he became a vampire, but didn’t actually notice?

Cause like, he was already eating people.

And he was fine in the sun (because Akasha blood will do that).

And like, he was super-strong, and super-sexy, but he’s kind of a super-narcissist, so he was just like “Ah, yes. I remain as sexy and strong as ever. Because I’m amazing. As I have always known myself to be.”

Like, when would he figure it out? Like I feel like 30 years down the road, when he hadn’t aged, he’d be like… “Huh. Still obviously super-human!”

Would he, at some point, be like “Gee, were my teeth always put this pointy?”

Would other vampires even talk to him, or would they be like “Him? Yeah, fuck that guy. It’s like he doesn’t even think he’s one of us. Just cause he can fucking walk in the sun. Stuck-up bastard.”

I feel like maybe after 40 years - when he was in his 80s, but still looking like the 45-year-old dilf he was when he accidentally turned - maybe, at that point, he’d be like “Okay, something’s definitely up.”

…and the one day, he would happen to yell “BAT!”
