Fall Colors B SLAPPIN’
Holland MI _ Oct 2020
🍂 leaf peepin’ 🍁
Small Things for Which I’m Grateful
The house I grew up in was surrounded by oak trees. Fall was endless brown leaves to rake. Great for jumping in, but nothing special to look at. Now, my bedroom window faces east, and we have a big maple tree in our front yard. In the morning, when the sun rises behind the tree, the window is ablaze with red and orange. For just this time of year, I always take a few extra moments in bed to watch the leaves flash outside my room.

Enjoy today’s Autumn Equinox! These pics are from my favorite fall bike trail last weekend—the Mineral Belt Trail (it’s 12 miles long & climbs to 2 miles high). The first photo is of Mt. Elbert, Colorado’s tallest mountain at 14,439 feet, peeking through the golden aspens 🍁 🍂
