Trea Turner was taken in the 1st round (13th overall) of the 2014 MLB Draft from North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC). I am a fan since he was a rare through the mail success from a couple seasons ago, and he even wrote me a nice note. He had a nice start to his pro career in 2014, especially in A-ball where he carried a .976 OPS through 187 games.
