Ok I just have to rant because this is getting out of hand. Why do we have a department of player safety if they don’t actually care about their safety?

The NHL has become an absolute joke of a league. Player safety should be a number one priority, but when you have a former goon as the head, what can we expect?

Gudas is known for being a piece of trash on the ice with his play (olympics, Crosby anyone)? So 5 games for taking out Matthews is genuinely a slap in the face. He could have suffered a career ending injury, and the offender got 5 games? Pathetic.

Fans are getting sick of it. I can’t imagine the players love it. When is enough?

There needs to be change. Because the amount of players suffering these life altering injuries is unacceptable.

Stop the Andersen hate 2020

Aight. I get it, he’s been below average lately. But wanting to trade him?? Calling him an AHL goalie?? Give your head a shake.

He’s stolen so many games this year, and as soon as he goes through a bad stretch (which all players do it’s just a lil more obvious as a goalie) y’all wanna trade him???

Babcock

ok, y’know ive tried to remain positive and shit, but I’m done.

Babcock, I’m so sorry but you need to go. You play the players incorrectly, make stupid decisions during games, have the audacity to call your players out in front of the press... you need to go.

- Tyson Barrie is an offensive defensemen; one of the best, actually. Use him to his advantage!!! Why try to change his game?

- saying matthews and Nylander “played too much”? Oh please, go jump in a dryer

- @ the PP coach too but FUCK. THE. DROP. PASS.

- I’m sorry but I just don’t think you are the right fit for the players anymore. You came in five years ago, you gave us all hope by helping build a team to success, but it seems you kinda lost your way a bit here. You may have lost the room, who knows. I just know honestly, it seems like the team is done listening to you.

- there are so many more reasons you need to go, but imma stop here. Thanks for reading the rant nobody wanted

Leafs thus far

So, we’re not too far into the season but so far here are the thoughts I have that nobody asked for.

Nylander. Much much better start (that goes without saying) however I wish he’d hit the damn bet more

Andersen. Minus that one game in Tampa he hasn’t been bad. Can be better, and I fully expect he will be.

Matthews. Despite his goal total, I’m very unimpressed with his game overall. Most games he seems to be invisible. Defensively, he needs work

Marner. Despite his point total, just like Matthews I’m left feeling a little unimpressed. I KNOW he can do better.

Rielly. Not off to a great start, looks a little lost at times but not concerned

Barrie. Slightly disappointed, but haven’t seen him play enough in past years to really have a comparison

I’m SOUPER impressed by the goat 🐐, Mikeyeve, Timoshov, Moore, Holl and, I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but Marincin has been good this year. The bottom lines have really been the lines to watch for this season.

Overall, I’m disappointed in their play as a team. They can have all the meetings they want, say the same damn things in interviews about where they went wrong, and how they’re not worried, but it’s becoming a trend and habit to play like this- and if they continue down this road, they won’t even have to worry about losing to Boston first round.

I also feel we have the right to be pissed and annoyed at their play.

Andersen... just has not looked right. He’s usually playing with a lot of confidence but tonight? He looks.. lost.

Still lots of time to turn it around!
