Bodhi was the best character to come out of R1 and the studio is fucking up hard

I’ve been thinking about this half the evening! I’m going with romance novels. It’s a relatively new obsession, borne of his whole post-Will ‘feelings, WTF?’ thing, and he hides them better than he does his cannibalistic ways. He doesn’t borrow ideas from them, per se, but Will starts noticing that there are more casual touches, more flowers on the table, generally more solicitousness than there used to be - and that’s saying something - and he starts to wonder...

And when he does finally find the novels, squirreled away in the far corner of Hannibal’s Very Special Work Room, he never mentions it to Hannibal, because he (finally OMFG) understands that this stuff actually means something to him, and he’s tired of breaking Hannibal’s fragile little serial killer cannibal heart.
