Things I’ve Learned (#1)
Aeoniums cannot take too much sun! Learnt this the hard way. Currently putting my Aeonium through rehab so that it can grow fresher leaves to replace the burnt ones.
Larger succulents need more frequent watering especially in places with brighter sun. I placed a bunch of big succulents into one big pot and their larger root systems are taking up much more water (it’s been 2-3 days since watering and the soil is dry all the way again). Some of the leaves are starting to get stressed, turning light colored and wrinkling on the edges.
Watering can help flowers and shoots sprout. A day or two after watering all my succulents and cactus, I was happily surprised to find a couple of them growing new flowers!
Thicker leaves are easier to propagate, and in humid weather, it’s best to leave them alone on top of a shallow bed of cactus soil!
I've started a language learning journal because I want to learn the Indonesian language - my roots are in Indonesia so it makes sense to be able to speak it some day.
These are the first several pages for April. The april cover was inspired by (copied) from Pinterest.

How did humans scattered far apart wondered about similar things and drew upon similar constructs, is so fascinating.
So much to learn 😘
