I just asked my little guy to count for me (as far as he knows) and he counted to 29. But he does not know 30 so he continued with "twenty-ten, twenty-eleven". 🤣

I just asked my little guy to count for me (as far as he knows) and he counted to 29. But he does not know 30 so he continued with "twenty-ten, twenty-eleven". 🤣
The last week I practiced counting with my little one, because he kept forgetting numbers (usually 2 or 3) when counting. This morning I asked him how far he can count and he counted to 15/16 (he got things a little mixed from here on) and he remembered all the numbers in the correct order. 😊 Might not seem like a big thing, but I was so happy to hear him say: one, two, three instead of: one, three, four. 😂
He is so cute.
When my son counts things he usually forgets the number two. So often times he will end up with four things, when there are only three or with three things when there are only two. 😂
It's so cute when he counts: one.. three... four... 😊💖
The little guy knows how to count to 16! 🤯 Sure he sometimes makes mistakes along the way, but from seven onwards he gets it right like 99% of the time. And why 16? Because we have 16 stairs that we go up in our house and I've recently started counting them each time we go up and told him to count along. But that he would pick it up so quickly shocked me. 😅 I could barely count up to like 22 when I was six years old. 🙈
You know, I've never really thought about it, but me and my siblings all spoke with a pronounced Wolverhampton accent when we first learned to speak, despite nobody in the house having said accent. We don't live anywhere near Wolverhampton.
My little guy is currently very interested in numbers and letters.
A few months ago I already tried to teach him how to distinguish a few letters from each other. We started very easy with the letter "A" and everywhere we came across a big "A" I would point it out for him. So he got used to saying "A" whenever I ask "look, what letter is this?". I also teached him "I" and some others, but his first response - a lot of times without even looking - is "A".
And a few days ago he was suddenly interested in numbers. He is only able to pronounce "three". So every number he sees now is "three". 😂 And if you're wondering how he is counting... It goes like this: "three three three..." 😂
It's really cute. ❤️
