The Learn Tracker
As a web developer, I motivate myself to learn by using a website I produced called “The Learn Tracker” where I store all my notes on every MOOC lecture I watch, which in the last 2 years has motivated me to watch over 400 MOOC lectures from over 90 courses in 5 languages!

Always consider studying what makes you happy
FutureLearn courses are well designed and allow you to gain new knowledge or fill old curiosities.
Select a course that represents a new starting point for your life. It’s never too late to learn new things.
Saving videos in your own YouTube playlists is always useful for future review.

Setting a timer is such a simple way of focusing your efforts, and keeping breaks just short enough to boil the kettle or run to the loo is perfect.
There are plenty of online timers that help you track your progress and allow you to customise the times, but you could easily do an analog version with a kitchen timer and pen and paper. There’s a book that explains the science behind it (if you’re into that sort of thing) but regardless of the how I assure you it works!
Finding time to learn
I wake up 1.5 hours earlier in the morning every week day, so I can make more time in my week for learning new things! I use HabitRPG to keep track of my learning habits as well.
