In the forest trees stand strong through every storm and tornado and even the shaking of the earth. These trees that are born and grow and topple or just wear away. These trees that are old and powerful and strong. The oaks that spread their branches far and tall with wide trunks. Pines tall and strong, holding their arms proudly above us all.
There are trees and forests older then there are fossils. These trees that whisper the an ancestral knowledge that is passed on with every growing seed. These trees that hold firm with their roots the very soil they grow out of. These trees that create steady foundations for themselves. These forests that create life out of every death, these things that recycle even themselves back into themselves. This forest that supports itself within itself, an eternal cycle that would continue unless disturbed.
We should learn to imitate these forests. Not fighting with each other instead taking each others mantle as are own. Simply holding the ones that get too close in our outstretched arms, instead of fighting and pushing each other out of our space simply enveloping them and welcoming. Letting others grow on our foundation and even others use our height for there advantage.
We should stand strong like these trees and hold ourselves proudly against the winds and the storms and taking it all in. We should use take all the negative things we are hit with and return use them for our good. We should take the ways of the earth and death to simply rebuild ourselves. We should build on the destruction that others cause and grow stronger. We should let some things go as we grow, things that we can simply grow back. We should stand strong in our foundation with straight backs and heads held high with no shame.
We should follow the example of the trees and take every storm with fierceness and fall with grace into the arms of our forest to simply grow back from the roots. We should hold steadfast in the place of our choice even when we fall. We should learn to stand against the shaking of our very foundation and the lack of rain in some seasons.
Maybe, just maybe, we should learn how to stand strong from the forest and the trees.
