Variations of thought

While studying PVCs today and their variations of unofficial, multifocal, bigeminy, trigemini, couplets, triplets, and runs, I found yet another discrepancy of the English language to add to my list:

3 siblings born on the same day = triplets

2 siblings born on the same day = couplets? No, we call them twins.
