There has been a lot of road kill around the house lately bringing the turkey vultures to cruise the skies as I walk. They are such fascinating creatures and I never knew how big they were till I moved here and get to see them almost daily. They are scary big with at least a 6ft wing span and stand about 2ft. tall. My little dog George likes to watch them too when they are low enough. Day 41/100 #the100dayproject I added some water splashes. I was nervous about adding them because I liked my fish. I got my old brush like the instructor did and went added the light blue, but because I was so worried about messing it up, I didn’t realize the brush soaked up way too much water and wet the page way too much🤦🏻‍♀️. It was a lesson learned. I tried to soak some of up it, but it already had affected the orange. I walked away from it for a bit then came back and added the darker blue. Day 19/100 #the100dayproject I’m continuing to learn and play with watercolors. I’m still exploring #layering and #mixingcolors and #lettingthecolorsbleed We we’re supposed to do fish, but I decided to do my favorite underwater creature, the jellyfish. My favorite part of the @montereybayaquarium is the jellyfish. I could sit and watch them swim all day. They are so mesmerizing, so I thought about all the times I visited the aquarium and began to paint. It’s not done yet. I still need to add some details, but it’s going in the direction I wanted so YEAH ME!!
