My other ship for once. Done in coloured pencils
dakimakura
Hello! So yesterday, I got bored and decided to draw on my tablet and I came up with Akusora. I think it looks good, I'm not good with shading yet but practice is key. Anyway, Akusora community needs more art and love!
LeaSora - Only a Dream
Okay, so like, many, many, many months ago I asked for some random little one shot prompts. This was one of the ones Koto requested and I wrote the first two paragraphs before completely blanking out. I kept it in my Google Docs, opening it every now and then and staring at it, to no avail. And then today, out of nowhere, random inspiration! Okay??? But anyways, here it is.
Prompt: Koto: I almost want a crack ship. Like LeaSora - "only a dream"
:/ I’m sorry if it’s not that great, this is the first time I’ve ever written this ship, but I hope you like it anyway.
For @imperioustempest ~
Sora loved Riku. Anyone who knew him even remotely knew that that was fact. It was as much fact as any other known fact; like the sky being blue or water being wet. That's just the way it had always been.
Yes, Sora loved Riku. But Sora was also the kind of person who gave away little pieces of his heart to everyone and the kind of person who saw love in those who really took the time to get close to him.
And Axel - no, Lea - had caught his attention.
Sora sat nearby in the grass, catching a breather and nursing a large, ice-cold bottle of water - courtesy of Kairi, who was waiting her own turn to take on Riku - after his sparring match with the new Keyblade Master - and while Riku was having the hardest time adjusting to the title, Sora let it fall from his lips as easy as anything else. He was so proud. And his best friend had not been easy on him in the slightest, but Sora wouldn't have had it any other way, content to fight a friendly match. Now, as he glugged down another few ounces of water, he watched Lea take his stance while Riku gave him a few pointers before keyblade met keyblade.
And then the match began. An almost tense moment of silence hung in the air and just like the flurry that he was, Lea sprang into action.
Both Keyblade Master and apprentice moved like a pair of dancers, skilled fighters light on their feet, and it was beautiful. Sora didn't move that way; he generally took a hack-and-slash approach to fighting heartless, nothing like the precise, graceful movements of Riku’s body, or the wide, swinging arches of Lea’s too-long limbs.
And Sora had fought them both before, both with and against them. He recognized Riku’s elegant style - the way he quickly dodged a strike or athletically leaped from a wide swing.
But Lea… Lea had a keyblade now. It was still so strange to see the familiar weapon in the redhead's hands and Lea clearly wasn't used to it. He'd had two weapons as Axel - the chakrams he casually spun around between his fingers. So while he obviously knew how to fight and was holding his own well enough in this little sparring match against Riku, he didn't seem used to having a mostly free arm at his side, alternating between wielding it one-handed and two-handed. Sora continued watching them in mild wonder, biting his lip when their keyblades clashed and sparks flew.
Lea had saved him. That’s what they’d all told him - Riku, the King, Donald, Goofy, and Lea himself. He’d been a split-second away from becoming Xehanort’s last vessel when Lea showed up to save him, save them all. And Sora remembered Axel, how he had sacrificed himself to clear Sora’s path to the Organization’s castle, the sadness he’d felt at his loss - and whether that was all him or Roxas, Sora didn’t know and didn’t worry. Axel - Lea - was a friend now.
‘He made me feel… like I had a heart.’
‘It’s kinda funny… You make me feel… the same…’
Maybe Axel had saved him the first time for Roxas. Maybe Lea had saved him for Roxas. Or maybe he saved Sora for Sora’s sake. The redhead’s motives had never been particularly clear, not with the way he played double, triple, quadruple agent. He was a wildcard, pulled in a tight spot but not usually counted on.
Still, it had been enough to make Sora think. And think. And think until thoughts spilled into dreams.
...
That night Sora dreamed of hair like fair and eyes made of emeralds. Warm, long-fingered hands and a teasing voice on smirking lips.
“Rise and shine, little hero, you weren’t made for darkness.”
“Mnnn… Axel?”
“Aww, come on Sora, it’s Lea now. Got it memorized?”
“And here I thought I’d never hear that again.”
A chuckle. “Was that you or Roxas?”
“...Huh? I don’t…”
“Relax, Sora.”
“But…” He was frowning, he knew he was, he could feel it on his face. But then Lea was there. Lea hovered over him, smiling, warm, amused, hands at Sora’s sides, close enough to touch him and Sora found himself wishing Lea would.
“It’s okay, Sora. I’m here.” Knees on either side of Sora’s hips, Lea lowered himself further, a mere sliver of space between their - Sora quickly realized with a gasp - bare, uncovered bodies.
A sigh fell from Sora’s parted lips, those skilled hands traveling up his sides, trailing fire in their wake. “A-Ax-... I mean… Sorry. Lea…”
Lea chuckled, pressing kisses to softly-panting lips. “Breathe.” Sora was just too cute, too sweet, and Lea could save him 100 times, so long as it brought them here, brought them to this, sparking fire with every touch.
But then Sora would wake to an empty bed, chocolate hair matted to his head, and sheets suffocating him. It would be too hot, but nothing like the burning flames of the redhead, just sweat and discomfort and his pajama pants much too tight.
After all, it was only a dream.
OOOH, if you don't mind me asking, what are your Lea and Sora interaction headcanons? :D
I have this idea of Sora immediately filled with questions for Lea that he’s always wanted to ask. About the Organization, about what he remembers, his old life. And maybe, sometimes after they’ve spent time sparing and after everyone else has turned in for the night, he would ask him about Roxas and those he had once called his friends.
I’m sure there would be this overwhelming sadness that Lea would have as his final words to Roxas would be that he wouldn’t have a next life. Now, in a twist of fate Axel is the one given a next life as Lea and Roxas isn’t there when he wakes. But Sora is there and I’ve always had this idea that maybe he’d attempt to emulate what he could of Roxas with Sora (however you interpret their relationship).
I’m undecided on how Lea would feel being called Axel but I’ve always thought he’d let it slide whenever it were Sora doing the talking - as there’s something maybe about the way he says it and he’s sure it has something to do with Roxas. He pretends it’s nothing but hopes with everything he’s got it’s his friend(s) reaching out to him.
Overall - lots of Sea Salt ice cream, late night talks and déjà vu to last a lifetime. I’m sure I could write forever about possible Lea and Sora headcanons (maybe I will). Thanks for asking!
I am so excited for Lea and Sora interactions. I mean-- just. Please.
