1st attack for this year! warmed up with a cute little least weasel!
character belongs to https://artfight.net/~_w1LL0w
someone came in the other day asking about a little animal they saw that was not a thirteen-lined ground squirrel but *was* running around with/near one. She described it as looking like a mink but smaller, mostly solid colors.
this is a thirteen-lined ground squirrel:
She said it looked about the same size so I asked if it had a white belly and she said yes, she thought it might have, and theres only one conclusion... LEAST WEASEL
[x] Man I am so jealous, I've only ever seen them as roadkill. super uncommon.
They're the same size as the ground squirrel or smaller, but they can take down BIG prey compared to them:

Why is the Least Weasel called the Least Weasel when it is the most weasel ever?
was just researching the least weasel to find out if it was actually the most weasel all along, only to learn that is is also classified as "least concern" by the IUCN, and like yeah. I'm also not concerned about this little baby
