Thank you to the lovely @glassbxttless for being kind enough to create a little BHB family portrait!
Hello, Thia! I'm here to ask what is your favorite book? And who are the author's who have had the biggest influences on you as a writer?
Thank you for taking questions today! 💖
Harley! Sweet friend!
Thank you for the question. I’m actually super horrible at reading since I seem to hyperfixate on one thing and then only return to that for the longest time because it’s familiar and comforting. So for the longest time while I read I didn’t have a favorite favorite. Chuck Palahniuk is an author who I have read almost everything he’s writes with Diary, Haunted, Lullaby, and Choke being my favorites.
From there I read a log of graphic novels and really REALLY loved Y: The Last Man. World War Z was a great anthology and Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a short story I return to every so often.
Style wise, I very much would say that I’m more inspired by writers in the community. There is something to their writing that I think I’ve pulled and made my own? But all of them world build or truly pour emotion into every single word with just the most beautiful and captivating prose. I truly enjoy them all and they 100% have influenced me.
I feel like my answers are pretty lame with this because I’m not the most avid reader or my attention span has me really focusing on one thing for a while so I can’t offer a lot variety outside of fandom. I apologize for a not more exciting or eloquent response but I thank you for sending in a question! 💕🥰
Does anyone know a good lawyer we need to sue Noah Babadok
Well, you’re gonna have to talk to @leatherboundbirate about this one…
Thank you for the WIP Game tag! 💖 I’m here because I am curious about the title The Price to Pay 👀
Firstly, I'm sorry for answering late.
So, Price to Pay is something that has been lurking in my mind since... summer? and I've been chipping it away slowly.
It's for Din Djarin and it's a AU mashup between Robin Hood and the Scarlet Pimpernel. If SP is not familiar, it's about a wealthy aristocrat who rescues others like him from the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. He marries a woman and tries to live a double life, not telling the wife about his vigilante ways.
Here is a small piece from the first chapter:
“Good morning.” The man spoke as he tipped his hat in your direction and you curtsied fast. “Good morning, sir.”
“My darling daughter, please meet the Duke of Mandalore, Din Djarin.” You father gestured for you to join him by his side and you obliged. “Your highness, my daughter.” Your father spoke your name and he nodded briefly.
“I’ve come to speak to you about the debt you owe, sir.” The Duke’s voice was deep and rich as he addressed you father. “I believe you remember that we agreed on meeting this morning to discuss the payments owed.”
Thank you so much for asking 💖
Hey, M! I'm here to return some of the soft asks! Can you please tell us about 10 15 18?
Hi H! 🤗
I hope you are relaxing and enjoying the weekend fully! It’s wonderful to see you pop here 💜
10. Daytime or nighttime? Which do you prefer?
During winter, I definitely prefer the daytime because daylight comes in short bursts. During summer, I adore nighttime because the light doesn’t fully leave us and it’s so magical to have some light during the night hours.
So I guess my answer is a little silly but it really depends on the time of the year. I’m a creature they needs the light.
15. What's a topic that fascinates you?
Egypt and the history of pharaohs! I could talk about it for hours and I’m always ready to find out more. I’m always excited to watch a new documentary or a YouTube video about Egypt or read a book that focuses there. Fiction and non-fiction.
It’s a dream of mine to eventually visit the Valley of the Kings and I’m pretty sure I’ll bawl once I get there.
18. Which genre of movies/shows is your favorite to watch?
For TV, definitely crime shows. I love CSI, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, Bones, NCIS etc. Its also so much fun if it was a supernatural element to it like Warehouse 13 and Grimm. I just gobble that stuff up as quick as I can!
For movies, I tend to gravitate towards action and mystery films. My comfort movies are old Agatha Christie book films and the Mummy (yes, I see the connection to the previous question too!). But I also love musicals and a good musical movie is always something that cheers me up.
I’m definitely a little chaotic in my answers but I hope it’s okay. Thank you so much for asking ❤️
Hi, Claire! It’s been a while, friend! I’m here with a few asks from the lists you shared because I can’t control myself and just as one lmao
From the invasive asks list:
#43 What’s your favorite smell?
From the Crush F/O asks:
💕 - what made you realize you have a crush on them?
and
💌 - how would you most likely confess to them?
Thank you for indulging me! I hope yours having a good week 💖
Hi, Shells! I'm so glad to see you on the dash! I've missed you, my friend ☺️
43. My favorite smell in the whole world is the air before a summer afternoon thunderstorm. You know when the whole world is cast in green, dark clouds and cool breeze bringing the storm closer to you. It's a VERY specific smell, but I can't get enough
F/O asks: so I have been hoarding an AU for Ronnie for about a year that's been c a m p e d in my brain the whole time. He's the loml, and the whole story is really a shameless self insert, that I hope someday I'll have the time and energy to actually write.
Answers under the cut because I could talk about him for literally days.

Unless you count our occasional interactions as talking but either way you’re one of my favorite mutuals!
Tumblr is so weird in that it’s like we, us two, are in a room as mutuals and maybe we don’t talk often but we kind of tap on each other’s shoulders and chuckle at the same posts often. So yee I agree and ditto to you my frand ((:
Send me a color
Happy New Year! I’m here with a couple of asks from the prompt list. 💖
3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year
14. a fic you didn’t expect to write
Happy New Year darling!
3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year
This is one of my favorites, it's from the first part of a two-parter with Flip, Silence :
You sit on the kitchen table opposite of the man who normally looks larger than life, a mountain towering over his companions, but now seems small like a child about to be scolded. He’s hunched in himself, strong and capable shoulders drawn in, and his dark hair, those curls that normally tickle his chin, now hide your view of his soulful eyes.
I love that moment of silence between the couple and how the music is so loud in the background while being unheard at the same time .
This glimpse into Flip, his body language speaking everything he cannot say out loud was one of the first I actually heard in my head and saw in my head. It was a powerful moment and I'm beyond happy I could capture at least a portion of it in the story.
14. a fic you didn’t expect to write
I did not expect Kylo Ren at all.
I've always admired the writers who write him, he is complex and full of wonderful layers to dig deep into but I've always been a little intimidated by him. I love reading stories about him, canon or alternate universe, but writing? Whew, I tip my hat off to the people far more talented than I am.
So writing My Treasure came out of nowhere and while Kylo still intimidates me, I feel so good for writing him in that story.
Thank you for asking 💖
