From discussions > quick sketch > execution @ukaygod and I sort of had the same idea on how we wanted the eye to look. So after the chat, it was pretty easy! The hard part was the execution of leather burning. So I tested it first on a personal work (which I plan to share some time soon too!). I had to study how high the heat should be and what would be the perfect pressure to make it work. I had to also get used to the pacing of how fast I should move the soldering iron. Swipe right to the third slide to see that I freehanded the eye onto the fob with the silver pen. It was fun but really nerve-racking! This was my desk situation back in April. I got a very special custom request from @ukaygod and he asked me to create a leather key fob for him that had a special illustration on it. To stamp something so unique would be too costly for just one keyfob so I decided to give leather burning a go. We had back and forth discussions about the design and the keyfob on my vintage LL Bean bag was the final result!
