I was asked to create a new belt that would be wearable for my client since the OG belt he thrifted online wasn’t the right size for him. He wanted to re-use the hardware which was gorgeous btw. I told him the OG belt looked super nice and I was afraid I might have to destroy it to be able to get the hardwares. Luckily, when I got my hands on it and inspected it before the first cut, I saw that I could easily remove all hardwares safely. My first ever biker wallet. It’s a custom collaboration with none other than @bryanchaiseng Not only was this my first biker wallet but this was also my first time using veg tan leather too. You can probably say this one’s a pretty special project and one for the books. Initially just had to custom the wallet but thought that these type of wallets usually have the leather chain going on. I decided to add onto the braided leather strap for that extra kick 💥 Fun fact: the braided strap was initially a prototype work with @gantsilyo_ but saw that it matched really well with the project. From discussions > quick sketch > execution @ukaygod and I sort of had the same idea on how we wanted the eye to look. So after the chat, it was pretty easy! The hard part was the execution of leather burning. So I tested it first on a personal work (which I plan to share some time soon too!). I had to study how high the heat should be and what would be the perfect pressure to make it work. I had to also get used to the pacing of how fast I should move the soldering iron. Swipe right to the third slide to see that I freehanded the eye onto the fob with the silver pen. It was fun but really nerve-racking! This was my desk situation back in April. I got a very special custom request from @ukaygod and he asked me to create a leather key fob for him that had a special illustration on it. To stamp something so unique would be too costly for just one keyfob so I decided to give leather burning a go. We had back and forth discussions about the design and the keyfob on my vintage LL Bean bag was the final result!
